この度、GALLERY TARGETではフランス人アーティスト、ジャン・ジュリアンによる2回目の展覧会「ドローン」を開催いたします。
ジャン・ジュリアンは、1983年フランスに生まれ、2008年にロンドンのセントラル・セントマーチンズを卒業した後、2010年にロイヤル・カレッジ・オブ・アートにて修士号を取得。
イラストレーターとして、New York Times、National Geographic、RCA Records、Le Centre Pompidou、Hermès、Petit Bateau、Vogueなど様々なクライアントに作品を提供する傍ら、ペインティング作品の製作も精力的に行っており、これまでサンフランシスコ、ロンドン、ベルリン、シンガポールなど世界各地で展覧会を行っています。
今回の展示ではコロナ禍に見舞われたこの1年半の間に生まれた新作14点を展示いたします。
ジュリアンらしい日常の美しさ、素晴らしさを俯瞰的に捉えたナラティブな展覧会となっております。
またNANZKAとともに渋谷と原宿3箇所にてジャンの違う側面を見る事のできる展覧会も同時期に開催されます。
各会場において、ジュリアンの異なる魅力を発見することができるでしょう。

“DRAWN” by Jean Jullien

GALLERY TARGET is pleased to present "DRAWN", the second exhibition by French artist Jean Julien.
Jean Julien was born in France in 1983, graduated from Central Saint Martins in London in 2008, and received his MFA from the Royal College of Art in 2010.
As an illustrator, he has worked for clients such as the New York Times, National Geographic, RCA Records, Le Centre Pompidou, Hermès, Petit Bateau, and Vogue, and has also been actively producing paintings, which have been exhibited in San Francisco, London, Berlin, Singapore, and many other places around the world.
This exhibition will feature 14 new body of works created last year, during the COVID 19 pandemic.
This will be a narrative exhibition captures the beauty and splendor of everyday life from a bird's eye view, which is typical of Julian.
Along with NANZKA, 3 more exhibitions will be held at the same time in Shibuya and Harajuku area showing a different side of Jean.
At each venue, you will be able to discover different aspects of Julien's charm.
