“EVERYTHING WENT BLANK” by dugudagii

この度GALLERY TARGETでは樹脂と草花を用いてアートピースを制作しているdugudagiiによる展示"EVERYTHING WENT BLANK"を開催致します。
作品の主な素材である草花は根を切ってしまうと瞬く萎れ、色鮮やかな花は色を失い、みずみずしい葉も朽ち果て、肉は腐り果てます。
草花に限らずとも全ての物事は変化します。その変化を私は樹脂に草花を閉じ込めその草花を通して通常とは異なるであろう変化を可視化させ、また草花の造形の再構築により通常とは違う物事の捉え方を表現をしています。
私が今回制作した物の終わらない変化を"BLANK"と捉え、テーマをEVERYTHING WENT BLANKと掲げました。
そして、このテーマによる今展示には幾つかの試みが含まれています、その一つとしてSPACE WEEDSがあります。
SPACE WEEDSは草花で再構築された3.5インチフィギアシリーズで今回の為に100体を制作し一堂に展示します。
その一つ一つを撮らえたアートブックEVERYTHING WENT BLANK -SPACE WEEDS-も出版されます。

2000年より独学により絵画、グラフィック制作を始める。
2009年より樹脂による立体物の制作を開始.
主に透明の樹脂に草花を封入し、形と封入された草花により構築した作品を発表している。

GALLERY TARGET is please to announce our next exhibition“EVERYTHING WENT BLANK” by dugudagii, who creates works using resin and plants.
When the roots of plants are cut, roots shatter, flowers lose their color, leaves decay and the entire plants rots away.
Everything go though transformation, not just plants. dugudagii confines the plants in the resin to visualize the transformation in unnatural way, and by reconstructing the modeling of the plants, dugudagii expresses how to perceive unusual matters.
dugudagii considers the never-ending change of what he creates as "BLANK" and set the theme as EVERYTHING WENT BLANK.
In this exhibition, with this theme he includes several attempts, one of significant series is SPACE WEEDS.
SPACE WEEDS is a 3.5-inch figua series reconstructed with plants and made 100 pieces for this exhibition.
We also are planning on publishing his first art book, "EVERYTHING WENT BLANK -SPACE WEEDS-" at the exhibition.

1977 Born in Tokyo
Started self-taught painting and graphic production in 2000.
Started creating three-dimensional objects using resin in 2009.
His works are mainly composed of transparent plants in which plants are encapsulated and are constructed from shapes and encapsulated plants.
